Sunbeam College For women provides an environment conducive for the students to develop into creative individuals. The College has qualified and motivated faculty, fully committed to teaching and research. A number of educative, recreational and extra curricular activities are integral part of the working of this college.
The College is located at Bhagwanpur, Near B.H.U., Varanasi. The Management of the institute includes some of the highly qualified and skilled professionals with the expertise to stimulate the growth of the institution as well as the faculty and students. The campus is spread over an expansive area and comprises of two spacious four storey building blocks meeting all requirements of a Degree College.
Classrooms & Labs
The college has 22 classrooms with a sitting capacity of 60 students each. The rooms are well ventilated and aesthetically designed to ensure proper natural lighting and comfortable sitting arrangement. ICT enabled 2 Seminar Halls and 1 Auditorium are in tune with holistic development of students and in link with advanced equipment availability. The seminar halls have housing capacities of 300 students respectively. The hall is frequently used for guest lectures, personality development sessions, workshops, presentation seminars, conferences, group discussions, extempore etc. The Auditorium has a sitting capacity of 800 people which is being used for multiple purpose.
The institutions hallmark is the fusion of technology with teaching learning process thus, it has set up a computer laboratory to keep itself at par with the latest information technology. The lab is equipped with latest hardware and software as par the requisite norms of university. The institute’s acoustically treated generator ensures that teaching and lab goes uninterrupted in the absence of regular power supply.
ICT enabled Teaching-Learning process
The college follows ICT-enabled teaching in addition to traditional classroom teaching. The college takes Subsequent efforts to provide an e-learning atmosphere in the Classroom:
In addition to the chalk and talk teaching method, the faculty members use IT-enabled learning tools such as PPT, Video clippings, Audio systems, online sources to expose the students for advanced knowledge and practical learning.
All the Classrooms are equipped with Smartboards, projectors and internet-enabled PCs. Most of the faculty uses interactive methods for teaching via PPTs, Online Videos, and other subject-specific content available on the internet. College premise is Wi-Fi enabled. A Computer laboratory with an internet connection has been provided to promote independent learning. In addition, faculty members are provided with Wi-Fi to their laptops and handheld devices.

The rooms have housing capacities of 100 and 200 students respectively. The room is frequently used for guest lectures, personality development sessions, workshops, presentation seminars, conferences, group discussions, extempore etc.
Hostels

Hostel is situated 7 km straight drive from Varanasi Cantt. The vision behind setting up Sunbeam Bhagwanpur Hostel was to fulfill the dreams of thousands of parents looking for an academic haven to nurture and give their wards bright future. The institution provides a congenial and homely atmosphere with healthy boarding and lodging facilities for girls who come here from far and wide. Various workshops, seminars, activities like debates, elocution, extempore etc strengthen the academic & co curricular base of the students leading to their overall development. The boarders here adhere to a well – scheduled routine for studies, games, hobby classes like karate, music, aerobics etc as well as lots of outdoor activities full with learning through entertainment.

Library
The library is well furnished with a capacity to accommodate 75 members. The library has 5 computers with internet facility. There are approx 3000 books 10 journals and 8 daily newspapers keeping the pace with the latest arrivals. It also has a healthy collection of digital resources in the forum of CDs and DVDs. Emphasis is provided in acquiring more relevant material to make it further digitalized . Our library has a good amount of inspirational and motivational books. Thus, the library retains all the capabilities to provide a research oriented base to the teaching, learning process as well as to inspire and inculcate reading habit in the students.
Sports
A rangA range of indoor and outdoor games are available and students are encouraged to keep fit and healthy by participating in games. An extensive sports field, gymnasium & indoor games facilities is provided. Basketball, Cricket, matches, Track & field events and other Sport Meets are a regular feature.
