Sunbeam College for Women, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi, right from its inception has been rendering educational service and catering to young women for more than two decades. The institution has transgressed several milestones. It is accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC in 2022, and within two years of NAAC accreditation the institution was conferred Autonomous status by UGC in the year 2024. The IQAC was established under the valuable guidance of Dr. Amit Kumar, Associate Professor, Faculty of Commerce (Co-ordinator, IQAC). The college was conferred Grade ‘A’ in the first cycle of NAAC Accreditation and Autonomous status by UGC. Since its establishment the IQAC has been involved in the improvement of the quality sustenance of the institution.

The Co-ordinator, IQAC has made significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institution. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC channelizes the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence. IQAC has been a suggestive body to the management on the provision of staff and student support services. IQAC also organizes Faculty Development Programmes in campus and also motivates staff to attend such programmes organized by reputed institutions. The IQAC, functions with great zeal to enhance the quality of the institution in all spheres. An IQAC research journal has also been planned to collectively present the efforts of the institution towards academic excellence. With the efforts of IQAC we strive to attain the pinnacle of excellence in the field of higher education in the coming years.
